In a video which has now gone viral, several men best described as beasts, took laws into their hands, torturing two women who were alleged to have stolen ground pepper in the market .
In the video, several men beat, strip, and torture two women for allegedly stealing pepper for cookingt in their homes. The women “confessed” to stealing the pepper for use at home and not for reselling.
From the video, the “Ejigbo” was referenced severally, which portrays the locality where the atrocity took place.
Ejigbo is a local suburb in the outskirt of Lagos.
The torture now popularly referred to as #Ejigbo2 represents the worst of all humanity and Th Paradigm is using this medium to call on authorities to investigate the sad incident which has again, portrayed our society as an inhumane one.
The men inserted pepper and stick into their vaginas, beating them mercilessly. One of the women can be heard begging for her life, pleading for her tormentors not to kill her as she is a mother to little children at home.
It could be recalled that barely over a year ago, four university undergraduates from University of Portharcourt were burnt alive, when some so-called vigilantes took laws into their hands. The students were accused of stealing and thus, were burnt alive.
