Even though "12-years a Slave" was Lupita's first movie ever, she however starred in a Kenyan soap opera 5-years ago. The 31-year old acted in Shuga, a sexually-charged MTV Base Africa soap opera in which she juggled two men. She plays the role of an ambitious go-getter Ayira, who sleeps with her boss at Maverick Advertising.
Also, Lupita Nyong’o has been nominated under the Best Female Performance category, for this year’s MTV Movie Awards. The award ceremony would be holding on the 13th of April 2014. If Lupita wins this award, that would make it the 25th award she is winning for 12 years a Slave! Am not sure i know another other definition for 'favor'.
