Archbishop Desmond Tutu returns to hospital

Archbishop Desmond Tutu returns to hospital
Retired Anglican Archbishop and Nobel Peace Prize Winner Desmond Tutu has returned to hospital but reports said he is doing well.

"So rather than be specific about the ailments that has taken him to the hospital, it is to say that he is being very well cared for, very well attended, he is comfortable, it's not a life or death issue, he is...and it's not a recurrence of his cancer, so he's as well as a slightly uncomfortable 83-year-old man can be expected to be," his daughter Reverend Canon Mpho Tutu said.

A statement by the Desmond and Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation said Tutu was readmitted to a hospital in Cape Town, after expressing renewed discomfort.

The statement says his doctors considered it necessary that the 83-year-old Nobel Peace laureate should return to hospital for observation.

Tutu was first taken to hospital for an infection earlier this month.
