At Least five people killed in Car Bomb In Damaturu

At least five people have been killed after a car bomb exploded at a checkpoint in Damaturu, the of Yobe State capital on Monday, July 20, 2015.


An eye witness said the checkpoint, which is on the outskirts of Damaturu is located along a major highway which connects the city to the troubled capital of Borno State, Maiduguri.

Bloom Gist gathered that the insurgents were heading for the town but detonated the explosives as the policemen in duty insisted in searching their vehicle.
