ENC orders the arrest of Allison-Madueke, four others
The United Kingdom National Crime Agency (NAC) has confirmed the arrest of four persons, including Nigeria’s former Minister of Petroleum Resources Allison-Madueke, for international bribery and corruption.

An NCA’s official statement on it's website revealed that the arrests were made by its newly formed International Corruption Unit.

Sources inside the Agency revealed to  us that the five suspects are currently being processed but would not reveal their names, only saying there is a “Nigerian female”.

Few hours ago, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) swung into action, raiding and sealing the Abuja homes of Mrs. Alison-Madueke and her associate Jide Omokore, who was said to be out of Nigeria at the time of the raid, but whose whereabouts were unknown. Arrests are expected in both the UK and Nigeria.

Earlier in the week, President Muhammad Buhari in New York, where he participated in the 70th UN General Assembly, said that the prosecution of high profile persons who engaged in the looting and laundering of billions of dollars in oil revenues during the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan will soon begin.

Buhari is reportedly enjoying the support of the UK, France and the US to track the stolen funds, and to arrest and prosecute suspects.
