Again, Kelechi Iheanacho scores for Manchester City

Manchester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho continued his impressive Capital One Cup form as his goal were significant in sending his club to the semi-finals.

There were three matches played in the first set of quarter-finals of the cup on Tuesday, December 1.

Manchester City 4 – 1 Hull City


Man  City's Wilfied Bony opened the scoring before his striking partner and teenage sensation Kelechi Iheanacho added a second. Kevin De Bruyne scored two late goals including a glorious second to send Man City to the semi-finals.

Middlesbrough 0 – 2 Everton


Everton’s impressive season continued with a place in the semi-final of a cup competition thanks to goals from Romelu Lukaku and former Barcelona trainee Gerard Deulofeu who assisted Lukaku’s goal.

Stoke City 2 – 0 Sheffield Wednesday


Goals from Ibrahim Afellay and Phil Bardsley was enough for Stoke City to make the semi-finals of the Capital One Cup.

The other quarter-final will be contested between Liverpool (2012 winners) and Southampton.
