Nollywood actress Mimi Orjiekwe bags award in Tanzania.
Good things can actually come from Nigeria as fast rising Nollywood actress, Mimi Orjiekwe, made the country proud when she grabbed a prestigious award of Best New Face in Nollywood at the annual African Film Development Awards at the 17th edition of the Zanzibar International Film Festival held recently in Tanzania.
According to organisers of the awards cum festival, Mimi merited the award fro her outstanding talent and dexterity in interpreting her role in the movie, Mission to Grave.
Other Nigerian movie practitioners who bagged awards were veteran movie producer, Andy Boyo, who won the award for Best Africa Movie Producer with his movie, Cobra, while the duo of popular actor and Delta State Commissioner for Tourism, Richard Mofe-Damijo, RMD, and Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, the organiser of Africa Movie Academy Awards, AMAA, were decorated with special recognition award and lifetime achievement award respectively.
