The Former EFCC Chairman has reportedly picked up a nomination form for the elections

Barely 2 days after his defection from the All Progressives Congress (APC) was announced, the former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nuhu Ribadu has officially joined the race for the governorship of Adamawa.

This was confirmed when a political associate, Alhaji Hamidu Mahmud, picked up the Expression of Interest and Nomination Form on Ribadu’s behalf.

“ He is expected to enjoy it and we are awaiting the directive of the PDP’s National Working Committee (NWC).”

There are now a total of 7 aspirants for the Adamawa gubernatorial seat including Acting Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintri, former Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Aliyu Idi Hong, former Special Adviser on Political Matters to the President, Ahmed Gulak and Awwal Tukur, the son of former PDP Chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur.
