Jay Z Charged To Curt For Using The Word 'OH' In His Song 'Run This Town'

Super Star Rapper Jay Z has been charged with a new lawsuit for using one word - OH - in his 2009 hit song "Run This Town" which also featured Kanye West and Rihanna.

According to record label TufAmerica, the hip hop giant took the short word form Eddie Bo's 1969 single "Hook and Sling".

The "Holy Grail" hit-maker has already responded to the accusation. His legal rep stated that, "Even if one short word – or the recording thereof – could possibly be deemed original enough to warrant copyright protection, this fleeting and generic phrase is neither quantitatively nor qualitatively significant."

Therefore they've reportedly set a motion to dismiss the lawsuit but it remains unclear if TufAmerica will accept to walk away.

Meanwhile, Jay Z is reportedly working on a joint album with his superstar wife, Beyonce with whom he shares a daughter, Blue Ivy.
