A baby girl born with a trunk in India has been getting so much attention and popularity as crowd gather around her house to worship her as a Hindu god.
The yet to be named baby was born in a village in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, in northern India on Thursday, 26th March 2015.
Crowd are seen flocking to see the new-born infant/god who they believe is an incarnation of the Hindu deity Ganesha --- Ganesha also has a trunk.
While speaking to ANI in Aligarh, the baby’s aunty told reporters that crowds had since arrived to make different kinds of offerings to the child. "My sister-in-law gave birth to a girl at 7:00 a.m. and her face looks exactly like Lord Ganesha", she said.
The girl was born to Rambabu Sarvesh and his wife Banna Devi.
According to the Times of India, Mr Sarvesh, who is already a father to three children, earns 250 rupee ($5.17) a day, and hopes that his daughter’s birth will result in a change to the family’s fortunes.
