According to reports, the political parties include the Accord, United Party of Nigeria (UPN), Democratic Peoples Party, Alliance for Democracy, Citizens Popular Party, African Democratic Congress, All Progressives Grand Alliance,Progressive Peoples Alliance and National Conscience Party.
Leaders of these political parties were during a press conference held in Lagos on April 9, 2015, declared that they would work rigorously for Agbaje’s emergence as governor of the state in Saturday’s election.
While speaking at the press conference, the spokesperson of the group, Femi Ikuomola of UPN called on the youths to vote for credible candidates in the election, not paying attention to any threats.

Mr. Femi said “All the eight political parties hereby pledge allegiance, their total support and unanimously endorse Jimi Kolawole Agbaje, the PDP flag bearer, in the April 11 governorship election in Lagos state,”
