APC Governors Forum to hold an emergency meeting to discourse issues tearing the party apart

All Progressives Congress (APC) governors will on Thursday, July 2, 2015 hold an emergency.

According to a close source at the party, the meeting aimed at resolving the crisis that has engulfed party as a result of the National Assembly elections where Senator Bukola Saraki and Honorable Yakubu Dogara emerge as Senate President and Speaker of the House of Representatives against the wishes of the party.

According to the source, the Chairman of the APC Governors Forum and Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, who invited other governors to the meeting  stated that the meeting will be held at the Imo Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja and is to begin at 8 pm.

Bloom Gist learnt that the the sudden APC governors meeting is expected to find a common ground on the issue ahead of the APC National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting which is scheduled to take place on Friday, July 3, 2015.

President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to meet both Saraki and Dogara for the “first time” at the NEC meeting.
