West Ham completes signing of Chelsea's Victor Moses
Victor Moses has signed a new four-year contract with Premier League champions Chelsea before completing a season-long loan move to West Ham.

Moses was deemed surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge after spending last season on loan at Stoke after another loan spell at Liverpool the year before that.

But the winger has penned a surprise new deal with the Blues and will now spend the remainder of the season on loan with the Hammers.

West Ham have announced the signing of striker Nikica Jelavic from Hull as the Premier League club take their number of deadline day signings to three.

The 30-year-old has signed an initial two-year deal at Upton Park, where he will link up again with manager Slaven Bilic after playing for the West Ham boss during his time in charge of Croatia.

Former Crystal Palace star Moses could be joined by fellow winger Michail Antonio from Nottingham Forest but Crystal Palace are confident of getting the deal over the line.

The east London club have been busy in the final stages of the transfer window after securing the Alex Song on another year-long loan from Barcelona and could also sign Emmanuel Adebayor from Tottenham before the 6pm deadline.

However, West Ham's move for Adebayor will have to be a permanent deal now Moses has completed a loan move to Upton Park.

Premier League clubs are permitted to making two loan signings from rival top-flight clubs; and having already signed Carl Jenkinson from Arsenal, the temporary capture of Moses would use up their allowance.

That means West Ham would have to seek a permanent deal for Adebayor. So, with that in mind, West Ham would have to strike a deal with Tottenham over a potential transfer fee.

Or, Spurs would have to agree a settlement figure with Adebayor over the remainder of his £100,000-per-week deal in order for the striker to be available on a free transfer.
