ILAJE - Today, December 7, 2015, the people of Ife witnessed an influx of high profile dignitaries as the coronation ceremony of the newly crowned Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Ogunwusi make Ile-Ife the talk of the day.
The event was attended by prominent personalities including the vice president, Yemi Osinbajo, Governor Akinwumi Ambode of Lagos state, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, the national leader of All Progressive Congress (APC) Senator Bola Tinubu and others.

The new Ooni received his staff of from the governor of the state, Rauf Aregbesola.
There was a heavy security presence at the coronation which shut down the ancient town. The guests were entertained by traditional dancers.
