Fani-Kayode blasts Buhari for shaking Queen Elizabeth
Former Nigeria Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has critiszed President Muhammadu Buhari for shaking hands with the Queen Elizabeth II of England.

President Buhari met the Queen of England in Malta when she hosted a reception for new Common Heads of government at San Anton Palace.

However, when president Buhari inaugurated Nigeria’s ministers penultimate week, one of the highlights that went viral was his refusal to shake the female appointees based on religious ground.

Buhari was involved in one more public handshake with a woman during the wedding of Adams Oshiomhole, the governor of the Edo state. The president was photographed shaking the hand of Oshiomole’s bride, Iara Forte.

Buhari had spoken favourably in support of sharia law in the past and he has been frequently blamed for being a fundamentalist himself, especially during the electioneering period.

But the 72-year-old president has always denied the charge.

Different hadiths give different instructions concerning whether a good Muslim can touch a woman, and sometimes those hadiths even contradict each other.

Fani-Kayode took to his Twitter to lament on this issue as well as on N5,000 monthly payment for youths and the Chibok girls.
