Manchester City, The New Champions Of England

Manchester City clinched their second title in three years, holding off Liverpool who beat Newcastle 2-1 at Anfield.
Goals from Samir Nasri and Captain Vincent Kompany made sure that Liverpool hopes where crushed.

The day started off bad for Liverpool when Martin Skrtel scored an own goal, and to make matters worse news filtered in that Nasri has scored for City...

In the 39th minute Nasri found space and hit the ball from 20 yards out to put City ahead, while Kompany scored immediately after the break to make sure any hope of a comeback was dead.

Immediately the news filtered through in Anfield, With Liverpool still losing 0-1 to Newcastle, The Reds fans started crying. While in Ethihad the fans where singing "Are you Watching Anfield''.

Liverpool however came back to score twice and win the game with World Cup bound Super Eagle's striker Shola Ameobi getting sent off in probably his last game for his club.

When the ref blew the final whistle at Ethihad the fans invaded the pitch and the players had to be escorted inside for safety concerns.

City Coach Manuel Pellegrini praised the effort of his boys all through the season.
