A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos Justice has today nullified the restriction of Lagos resident from moving around why the monthly environmental sanitation is going on
While delivering his judgement, Justice Mohammed stated that its unlawful for any body either governmental or none governmental to restrict residents from moving around for it is a total violation of the citizen's right freedom of movement and liberty as stated in section 35 and 41 of the Nigerian Constitution the restrictions of residents, adding that it was a violation of the citizens’ right to personal liberty and freedom of movement protected by sections 35 and 41 of the Constitution.
Justice Mohammed also nullified the power of the Lagos State Government or any of it's agencies to arrest any citizen found moving between 7am & 10am during the monthly sanitation which holds every last Saturday of every month.
Now I guess the people's mind have been spoken
