ABUJA HIGH COURT DISMISES SUITS AGAINST GENERAL MUHAMMADU BUHARI

An Abuja Division of the Federal High Court hastoday, Wednesday 22nd April 2015 terminated two individual suits that challenged Muhammed Buhari‘s eligibility to participate in the presidential elections.

Justice‎ Ademola Adeniyi struck out the suits after they were withdrawn by the plaintiffs through separate notices of discontinuance they filed before the high court.
The plaintiffs, Chukwunweike Okafor, and Max Ozoaka‎, through their respective lawyers, Chief Mike Ozehkome, SAN, and Dr. Chike Amobi, told the court that they decided to withdraw the matter in order to allow the President-elect, Buhari, to effectively run the affairs of the nation without ‎distractions.
