7 GOVERNORS ABSENT AS PDP GOVERNORS PAY SOLIDARITY VISIT TO PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN

President Goodluck Jonathan this afternoon held a closed door meeting with his party The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors and seven of the seven of the governors were reportedly absent from the meeting held in Abuja.

Amond those who absented themselves is Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state, Governors Sule Lamido of Jigawa, Olusegun Mimiko  of Ondo, Gabriel Suswam of Benue Isa Yuguda of Bauchi, Babangida Aliyu of Niger, and Ibrahim Shema (Katsina).

The governors in attendance were Idris Wada (Kogi), Ramalan Yero (Kaduna), Lyel Imoke (Cross River), Seriake Dickson (Bayelsa), Ibrahim Dankwambo (Gombe) Emmanuel Uduaghan (Delta), Sullivan Chime (Enugu), Jonah Jang (Plateau), Martin Elechi (Eboyin) and the PDP Governor’s forum leader Godswill Akpabio (Akwa Ibom).

All the governors who were absent in the meeting failed to deliver their states exept Governor Fayose who delivered.
This is the first meeting of the president with the governors since he lost his bid for second term in the office as the president.
