Governor Ayodele Fayose's call of protection and resistance of impeachment by some of the Ekiti State House of Assembly Members who have vowed to impeach him has been received and obeyed by the people and residence of Ekiti State.
According to Reports, The governor announced the pleade for help and protection from the people of the State during a statewide broadcast on Sunday.

Gov. Fayose said that the members were planning to take over the assembly to start impeachment proceedings against him. He subsequently called on “transport unions, market women and workers to rise up and protect the mandate they gave him.”

According to Bloom Gist corespondent in Ekiti state, Many obeyed his call, and proceeded to join some PDP members to lay siege to the Ekiti State House of Assembly building in attempts to halt the resumption of the 19 APC lawmakers.
