PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN FORWARDS CONFAB REPORT TO THE SENATE FOR CONSIDERATION

President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, sent the the report of the historic National Conference to the senate for review.

The Confab reports which was aimed at finding solutions to Nigeria’s deep rooted problems was forwarded to the Senate for consideration and necessary legislative action.

The President, in the letter transmitting the report of the National Conference, reminded the Senate members that the terms of reference of the conference had been to discuss any issue about Nigeria - President GEJ through the 'late hour' letter made special emphasis on finding lasting solution the unity of the country and warned warned the committee from discussing any issue that would lead to the disintegration of the country.

The committee was urged to recognize the need to move the country forward and also suggest the constitutional arrangement that would best suit Nigeria.

Presdient Goodluck's tenure as the President, Commander-in-chief of the armed forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria will end on March 29th, 2015 when the new president elect, General Mohhamdu Buhari will be sworn in as the new president.
