The Adamawa Government has on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 banned on the operation of all public viewing centres in the state following the recent bomb blast that claimed 35 lives in Jimeta, Yola, the States Capital.

This was made known to the public through a statement issued in Yola by the spokesman of the Police Command in the state DSP Othman Abubaka. He said that the ban was with immediate effect and for an initial period of one month.

DSP Othman said that the measure was due to the “unfortunate recent bomb blast in Yola, ” adding that the directive was issued by Gov. Muhammadu Jibrillah.

The statement warned against flouting the order, advised members of the public to avoid crowded places and report suspicious persons to security agents.
