Radio Biafra has said that The Nigeria Broadcasting Commission (NBC) is has not shut down their signals neighter had Federal Government arrested any of the Biafran Engineers.
In their statement, the Radio announced that all their engineers are intact and none of them has been aressted in any way
"We want to categorically report to great and hardcore Biafrans that the news going around the zoo media that our engineer was arrested by the Zoos’ DSS is false, all our Engineers are intact. We urge you to remain formidable and disciplined, the Battle is heavy and we are winning already; most of our stations were restored last night in places like Onicha, Aba, Igweocha(ph), Warri, Asaba and many more will be fixed today. Intentionally, most stations are off because our engineers are working on it and will all be back before our evening broadcast. Call on Chukwu Okike Abiama to help us all and our leader Nnamdi Kanu.
Glory to Chukwu Okike Abiama."The federal government on Wednesday 15th July, 2015 said that it had successfully jammed the signals from Radio Biafra because it is not licensed to operate in Nigeria.
But later on that day, the Radio confirmed that they are still on and broadcasting and the Radio was confirmed to be broadcasting also by the resident of South Easth parth of Nigeria.
Radio Biafra is medium used by the Indigenous people of Biafra who are predominantly Igbos and other Igbo speaking Nigerians who are in he South-Easth Nigeria and they are agitating for the freedom of the Igbos under the name 'Biafra'
