Boko Haram attacks Bornu, killed and abducted civilians
Boko Haram yesterday ambushed civilians in Nwajurko, Borno State, killing one person, kidnapping two and injuring several others, a vigilante member has said.

The source said Boko Haram militants ambushed a commercial motorist at Nwajurko near Sabon Gari in Damboa local government area of Borno State. Three of the victims sustained gunshot wounds.

"Boko Haram members ambushed a Golf car with five people on board. The victims were driving from Damboa to Biu," our source, Aliyu Dan Biu, told SaharaReporters by phone. He added that the insurgents abducted two of the young make occupants of the car.

He further said that a patrol team of vigilantes had gone to the area and was still waiting for the possible return of the attackers.

A worker at the Biu General Hospital told Bloom Gist that three injured people were brought to the hospital in critical condition. He revealed that the patients had sustained serious gunshots from their attackers.

‎Sabon Gari village is located in southern part of Borno State, about 78 miles from Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.
