“We came back from church and saw a thick smoke around the INEC office. Before we could know what to do, security men had cordoned off the area. The fire nearly spread to the Education and Social Development buildings before it was put out.”
Who is behind the fire?
When contacted, a resident of the state, who we wish to keep as anonymous said the two strongest party in that state, All Progressive Grand Aliance (APGA) and the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has been pointing at each other over who maybe behind the mysterious fire incident.
The resident also stated that there's been speculations in the state that PDP might be behind the incident, he did not mention particular reasons for their beliefs but they so much sound sure.
PDP, which has been at the helm of government affairs of the state for the past 16 years and currently the states ruling party, won the April 29th Governorship election after a dog-head fight between it's major rivals, APC and APGA. The election was initially declared inconclusive by the state electoral commission but PDP was later declared winner.
