LONDON  Chelsea FC midfielder Cesc Fabregas has taken gone Twitter to deny the allegation that he is the leader of the dressing room revolt against under-pressure manager, Jose Mourinho.

Fabregas, who was dropped for the 3-1 defeat against Liverpool on Saturday, was named by former Guardian columnist The Secret Footballer as the ringleader in a plot against Mourinho.

The Secret Footballer Tweeted that Fabregas is "the leader of a mini-revolt" on Monday night.

Chelsea have suffered nine losses in 17 games in all competitions this season, but Fabregas backed his boss, who has continually insisted his players are behind him.The speculation comes hot on the back of BBC journalist Garry Richardson stating on Radio 5 Live that one Chelsea player would "rather lose than win" for the Portuguese, who is under intense pressure after an awful start to the season.

Fabregas wrote on Twitter: "I would like to clarify that contrary to a few reports from some online websites, I am extremely happy at Chelsea and have an excellent relationship with the manager.

"There may be certain individuals from the outside trying to destabilise this club, but I strongly believe that we will bounce back and come good again."

Chelsea play Dynamo Kiev in Champions League Group G on Wednesday night and at Stoke in the Premier League.
