Reports said that the incident which took place on Saturday, November 7 at Kugbaru community happened just when the couple and guests were at the reception after the church service
Sources told Bloom Gist that the DSS personnel entered the venue and surprised the couples who were dancing at the time. The attacker shot at guests before facing the couples and firing at them too.

The suspect was apprehended as he tried to escape after the attack.
“He was almost killed before the arrival of the policemen who rescued him and took him to the station.”
Ismaila Numan, the state police public relations officer confirmed the incident. He said the couple and other guests who were wounded were responding to treatment in a hospital and that the suspect was in police custody pending investigation.
