Lagos Police Shoot at Protesters Who Demand Release of Abducted Girls

LAGOS - Nigerian Police Force officers have made an attempt to disperse the crowd campaigning for the release of over 200 girls abducted by Boko Haram insurgents from a school in Borno State.

According to eyewitnesses, the policemen fired gunshots and threw teargas canisters at the protesters. There are no indications on the numbers of injuries yet. Continue after the cut...













However, the protesters did not falter and have now reached their intended destination at the Onikan Stadium where a Workers Day rally is ongoing.
