Unknown | Monday, April 13, 2015 |

The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has declared the governorship election in Imo State inconclusive.

Prof. Ibidapo Obe, The Returning Officer in Imo State said that this is due to the number of canceled votes which was 144,715, compared with the margin of win by Okorocha which was 79,529.

INEC has said that it's yt to announce a new date for another election in the state.

Okorocha was initially thought to have won the election after he garnered 385,671 votes compared to the 306,142 votes scored by PDP candidate, Emeka Ihedioha.

We could remember that this same situation also occurred in the last governorship elections. On April 26, 2011, INEC similarly declared the poll inconclusive because elections did not hold in some constituencies.
