Celestina Kalu, Police public relations officer in the Delta who comfirmed this stated that the woman who is simply known as Jane, is said to have introduced her fiance, Mr John, to her parents three years ago.
According to Kalu, Jane, who was a graduate of Economics from University of Benin, had been waiting for John for three years.
Some Family members who spoke with BloomGist said that Jane had often complained sorrowfully about waiting in vain only to discover that John got married to someone else.
After one such occasion when she had complained, Jane was found dead in her bedroom the next day. “Particles of drugs” were said to have been found in her possession. Her corpse has been sent for an autopsy.
From the reports BloomGist gathered, John, who is a Lagos based businessman was relieved of his job after he had carried out introduction of the girl before her parents and returned to Lagos where he had stayed all this while before allegedly taking another girl for a wife.”
