19th Battalion In Delta State Arrests, tortures protesters in Koko Military base in Oghara

That members of the 19th Battalion, operating under the orders of Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonal Aminu Umar, have arested protesters in Delta State and are currently torturing them in a concentration camp at Koko Military base in Oghara area, Delta State.

A reliable source told Bloom Gist that the 19th Battalion has arrested one Lawrence Eyaufe and Ejiro Efetoborduring a protest in in Ethiope West Local Government Area (LGA).

According to the source, the military forcefully stopped the protests, and chased residents away from public places and eventually abducted Mr. Eyaufe and Mr. Efetobor.

One of the protesters who spoke to Chunedu Ugwu in Oghara said the protest was to bring awareness the military’s abuses against the residents and the extrajudicial murder of Benson Ogedegbe last week.
