4 soldiers also lost their lives in the battle while 9 others sustained injuries.
In a statement on Friday by the Defence Headquarters spokesperson, Chris Olukolade, the battle was caused by the capture of a number of terrorists believed to be the ringleaders of the dreaded Boko Haram sect operating around the Alagarmo area of the state.
Mr Olukolade added that two of the terrorists were arrested two days ago at a local market while they were trying to buy foodstuff, while others were spying on the military base in the area. Continue...

Olukolade explained that Bulanbuli is between Alagarmo, and the Sambisa Forest where the terrorists have been attempting to establish a stronghold in their campaign.
Sambisa forest is believed to be where Boko Haram launches most of its deadly attack from.
Also, the female students who were abducted from Chibok in Borno are believed to be held hostage at this same forest and their parents have vowed to go into the forest in search of their girls.
Recall that about 2000 Boko Haram insurgents were killed by the Special Forces along with Air Forces some time in March in the Sambisa forest.
